The Writer's Journey

I have always wanted to tell the story of how my journey to becoming a writer came to be. As I always said, "Every hero or villain has an origin." This will be mine.

This Journey will consist of 7 Chapters.

Chapter 1: The Journalist
Chapter 2: The Spy
Chapter 3: The Story Teller
Chapter 4: The Novelist
Chapter 5: The Gamer
Chapter 6: The Filmmaker
Chapter 7: The Screenwriter

This is just an idea for now. It may become a book or perhaps a documentary. Either way, I am determined to get this idea on paper and possibly on the big screen soon and share with the world of what I have gone through to get to where I am as a writer today.

Until then, the story continues.

My First Camera

My first camera was a Kodak disposable camera that only had 27 shots. There were no display screens that lets you see what your pictures look like, which can prove to be a challenge if you are unsure of the camera settings, such as ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed. This was a perfect practice device for beginning photographers. It was affordable and it really makes you think carefully about your shots because you only have 27, so you better make it count. As much as I wanted to purchase a professional camera, I had to work with what I have and what I could afford. First shots were not so great, but as time progressed my shots were getting better and creative. Looking back now through all of my photos, I can see the evolution of where I started to the here and now. I can't recall how many camera's I have gone through, but I do recall through my photos of the many adventures from beginning just why photos are so important for both memories and storytelling no matter how they are captured.

The Deal "The Devil makes a deal with a desperate man in search for his true love for his soul, but without using his tricks, magic, and powers."

We've all heard the story before where the devil tricks a desperate human into a deal with his soul on the line for something that he cannot live without. Blinded by his needs, the man forgets that he cannot live without his soul either, therefore he foolishly agrees to the deal. 

Those stories makes the human look like a fool having being tricked into a deal that would only back fire onto him, but this time it is the devil who is the victim of his own deal. By agreeing to the deal, the devil now loses all of his powers and basically becomes human. Without his powers, he can no longer simply win someone's heart with the snap of his fingers. In order to gain his powers he will have to play the rules and help his client, JERRY, find that one true love.

The comedy kicks in as the Devil now has to learn about how to talk to women and pick up women the human way. We see that he is struggling as every attempt becomes a failure. Jerry believes that he is the one having difficulty on the mission and does not realize that it is the devil that's screwing up.

Will the Devil ever help Jerry find his true love? Love can truly make a man go crazy, even the devil.

Welcome to the Jason Lor Photography and Films blog. As you all may know, I enjoy writing. Whether it be about stories or just my everyday ventures through photography and films. This is a perfect place to express my creativity through words in my blog entries for any of you who are interested.
